Want to be hockey's next

Matt Daly or Crista Cullen?

Junior Development Centre's

 are your first step!

The Cumbria Junior Development Centres are for boys and girls under the age of 17, and run in the North and South of Cumbria. They are open to all junior players who are keen to improve their hockey skills. These sessions run from September to November, but have a look at the Registration Form above for more details.

Young players from local schools and clubs have been invited to attend this development opportunity. The Centres are led by qualified coaches appointed by Cumbria County Hockey Development Group, and include sessions on hockey skills and game play.

All that the coaches ask is that you arrive at the sessions changed, ready to play, with a hockey stick, shin pads, a gum sheild (if you have one), and appropriate footwear. These sessions are held outdoors, so please bear this in mind and bring a change of clothing and waterproofs. They also ask for you not to wear your school hockey shirts. You can also bring a drink (not fizzy) and snacks. You also need to say on your application form if you are a goalkeeper, and you will need to provide your own kit (whether it is your own or one borrowed from school).

This year all players need to use the Single System online registration in order to apply for the Junior Development Centres. In order to complete the registration you need to access the following link:

Please read through the following information documents before commencing your online registration, which also includes instructions on how to register.
